As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the surrounding region, the call for help is stronger than ever. As part of its ongoing commitment to the community, Suffolk Federal is partnering with the Long Island nonprofit organization, Helping Makes U Happy, to provide vital assistance to families most in need with a $3,000 donation.
With Suffolk Federal’s aid, Helping Makes U Happy, will continue to provide support for those less fortunate within Suffolk County. The charity hosts ongoing projects including food and clothing drives, school supply and backpack donations. It also offers scholarship funding and so much more to benefit the economically disadvantaged residents of the county.
“We have always resonated so deeply with the mission of Helping Makes U Happy and their drive to make a difference for our neighbors in need,” said Michele Dean, President & CEO of Suffolk Federal. “In recent months, we have experienced a nationwide economic hardship that has touched us all. We are so grateful to continue our commitment by providing this support so we can help make a difference locally,” she continued.
“Helping makes not only the people we help happy, but our contributors and volunteers as well. That’s exactly how we came up with our organization’s name,” said Keith Caputo, Founder of Helping Makes U Happy. “We are honored to be the recipient of this donation from Suffolk Federal who has made such a positive impact in the lives of so many of our neighbors over the years.”
