We know all too well that this process can be overwhelming and mistakes can be costly. That is why we are offering a virtual First Time Home Buyer seminar, in both English and Spanish.
To support this effort, Suffolk Federal redesigned and transformed their original First Time Home Buyer Seminar using new technology to create an exciting virtual event which serves as an alternative to traditional 0n-site workshops. “By adapting to a virtual delivery, we are able to support our community during this difficult process. The platform allows the user to navigate the home buying process, consult with industry experts, and utilize tools and resources that are available at their fingertips” explained Michele Dean, President and Chief Executive Officer of Suffolk Federal.
The seminar prepares the prospective buyer on how to manage the process with confidence, providing an abundance of information, focused on minimizing stress. In addition, industry tips and tactics related to financing, budgeting, credit ratings and saving for a down payment. Financing options as well as resources pertaining to the real estate market, mortgage process, and contracts will be covered.

- Navigating and Understanding the Home Buying Process
- First Time Home Buying Financing 101: Preparing to Purchase Your First Home
- Financial Qualifying Process and Tips You Can Do to Place Yourself in the Best Financial Situation (organize finances, address credit issues, saving for the down payment, budgeting for the mortgage)
As an added benefit, Suffolk Federal also will provide information about their First Time Home Buyers Club account which is designed to help a purchaser save for this great investment.
