The Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association, joined by the Suffolk County Detectives Association and the Suffolk County Superior Officers Association, purchased food from local businesses and delivered sandwiches, dinners, and other refreshments to the Stony Brook University Medical Center Hospital, to the hospital heroes on the front lines helping stem the tide of COVID-19 on Long Island. The following statement was released by Noel DiGerolamo, President of the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association:

“The battle against this virus begins in our homes and neighborhoods and concludes in the hospital rooms. Law Enforcement, fire, EMS, and healthcare professionals are fighting to contain this deadly virus. It is great to feel the support of our fellow first responders while on duty, and just the same, we are there to support our doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff during this time of crisis. Thank you to all of our first responders and remember the men and women in blue always have your back.”
