Henry Schein, Inc. Packs 2,500 Hygiene Kits For Long Island Families And Beyond

Share

More than 250 Team Schein Members (TSMs) at Henry Schein, Inc.’s Melville headquarters recently gathered to pack 2,500 hygiene kits for the local community. The kits will support families with children facing serious medical illnesses and also contribute to future disaster response efforts in under-resourced communities.

Filled with toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, and other personal care items, the kits are intended to help provide hope, comfort, and care to families who need them the most. Once built, a portion of the kits will be distributed to Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro, a nonprofit that provides essential services and support for families with hospitalized children. The remaining kits will be provided to Heart to Heart International, a nonprofit dedicated to improving access to health care through initiatives such as medical aid distribution, disaster response, and community health services.

This kit-building event is part of Henry Schein’s “We Care Global Challenge,” a company-wide initiative that engages TSMs worldwide in assembling care kits to “help health happen” for people in need. The events support the mission of Henry Schein Cares, the Company’s global corporate citizenship program.
