The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a recruitment event featuring a Q&A with female officers on Tuesday, August 27 at 6:00pm at the Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood. The event will feature presentations from female Correction, Deputy Sheriff and Professional staff outlining their experiences in their careers.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask officers questions about the jobs and discover the unique benefits of a career path in law enforcement.
In addition, both the Corrections and Deputy Sheriff exams are now open for registration. Officers will be on hand to answer any questions about signing up for the test.
The event is a part of Suffolk Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr.’s commitment to the 30×30 Initiative, a nationwide push to increase female participation in law enforcement and leadership positions to 30% by 2030.
