Police Report Multiple Arrests in Nassau County for Sale of Alcohol, Tobacco Products to Minors

Fifth Precinct Problem Oriented Police Officers report multiple arrests within the confines of the Fifth Precinct on Monday, January 16, 2023.
Officers assigned to the POP Unit conducted a Project 21 investigation targeting the sale of nicotine and alcohol products sold to underage agents.  The agents entered the following establishments where the store employees did not ask for the proper identification and sold alcohol to the Police agents.
At approximately 6:43pm agents entered the Prince Liquor and Wine located at 1310 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont and did purchase a Pink Whitney Vodka; arrested was Defendant Partish Wadhwa, 34, of 9715 129th St. S. Richmond Hill.
At approximately 9:30pm agents entered the BP Gas Station located at 270 W. Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream and purchased two cans of Twisted Tea Malt Beverage; arrested was Defendant MichaelDavid Alamgir Chowdhury, 39, of 2480 Ralph Avenue 01 in Brooklyn.
At approximately 9:00pm agents entered the Valero Gas Station located at 758 Franklin Avenue in North Valley Stream and did purchase a grape Smirnoff Ice and a fruit punch Truly; arrested was Defendant Karanbir Singh, 23, of 845 Park Lane Street Franklin Square.  Also located were twenty-four Tetrahydrocannabinol products on display for sale.  Arrested was business owner Defendant Sukhjinder Singh, 38, of 26 Vanderwater Avenue Floral Park.  He is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree and will be arraigned on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
Defendants Wadhwa, Chowdhury and Karanbir Singh are each charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Degree and Prohibited Sale of Alcoholic Beverage Under Age of 21 years.  Defendant Karanbir Singh is additionally charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  All three were each issued an Appearance Ticket returnable on Thursday, February 2, 2023 to First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
