Breeze Airways Adds Two New Flights From MacArthur Airport to Florida

Share

Breeze Airways, the low-fare airline founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, announced two new Florida destinations from Long Island MacArthur Airport.

The airline will be flying from Islip to Jacksonville, FL on Friday, Saturday and Monday, starting May 19, 2023. They will also have service to Tampa, FL on Friday and Monday starting August 18, 2023.

The Jacksonville route will stop briefly in Norfolk (for 30 minutes) en route to Florida while the Tampa service will make a similarly quick stop in Charleston on the way.

Currently, the airline offers nonstop flights from Islip to both Charleston, SC, and Norfolk, VA, as well as service to New Orleans, LA. The Tampa route will be operated with Airbus A220 aircraft with First Class seating available, a first for Breeze at Long Island MacArthur.

“These two new routes bring the total Breeze Airways offerings to five exciting destinations to and from Long Island MacArthur Airport, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share in this announcement,” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
