The Major Case Bureau reports the details of a Bank Robbery that occurred on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:44pm in Plainview.
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, Defendant Dean Marneris, 54, of 1662 Hannington Avenue Wantagh entered the TD Bank located at 500 Old Country Road, approached the male victim teller, 31, and demanded money. When the victim questioned the defendant, the defendant motioned as if he had a gun in his waistband.
In fear for his safety, the victim complied with Defendant Marneris’ demand and surrendered an undisclosed amount of US currency. The defendant grabbed the money and fled on foot, last seen heading east bound on Old Country Road.
There were five employees and two customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
Subsequent to the investigation, Officers located Defendant Dean Marneris at the McDonalds located at 818 Old Country Road Plainview. He was taken into custody at 4:14pm without incident.
Defendant Dean Marneris is charged with Robbery 3rd Degree. He was arraigned on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
