Duck Donuts, known for serving Warm, Delicious and Made To Order!® donuts, announced today the grand opening of its Plainview shop is set for Saturday, May 17, at 8 a.m.* Owned and operated by Omar Athar and Sana Rafique, owners of the popular Garden City Park and East Meadow shops, the new store is located at 1032C Old Country Rd, in Plainview.
To celebrate the grand opening, the first and one hundredth guests in line on Saturday, May 17, will receive one free dozen donuts per month for a year. The next 50 guests will receive a coupon for a free dozen, to be redeemed on a future visit, as a thank you for attending the grand opening. Additionally, every guest who comes to the shop will receive a free cinnamon sugar donut!

The 1,500 square-foot retail shop reflects the franchise’s iconic beach theme and family-friendly atmosphere with indoor seating. In addition to donuts, the Plainview location serves Duck Donuts’ signature coffee blends, espresso beverages, donut breakfast sandwiches, donut sundaes, frozen beverages, milkshakes, select retail items, and more.
Duck Donuts has selected Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Metro New York and Western New York, a nonprofit dedicated to granting life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses, to receive its inaugural Quack Gives Back donation. Guests can support the organization’s mission by donating at the register. The Quack Gives Back program promotes partnering with community groups to raise awareness and funds for their causes.
Omar Athar and Sana Rafique grew up in the Garden City Park area and lived in Nassau County for more than 20 years. Today, they live in Suffolk County with their two children.
