PSEG Long Island and Island Harvest Food Bank thank the people of Levittown and the surrounding communities for donating the equivalent of more than 2,500 meals at PSEG Long Island’s Power to Feed Long Island food collection on Friday, June 21. The event, held at the Stop & Shop located on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown, brought out dozens of community members who opened their hearts, wallets and trunks to provide cash, food, personal care items and pet supplies to their neighbors in need. As a thank you for contributing, PSEG Long Island employee-volunteers handed out reusable shopping bags and LED lightbulbs – gifts that help preserve the environment and conserve energy.

Friday’s event was one of seven collection sites in the summer-long food drive initiative. For additional information on PSEG Long Island’s Power to Feed Long Island, to see upcoming events, learn what to donate, or make an online monetary donation, visit psegliny.com/feedLI.
