The bank account of one extraordinarily fortunate Long Island resident is currently $50,000 fatter after scoring a winning New York State Lottery ticket at an Elmont grocery store.
The third-prize-winning Powerball ticket for the drawing held on Monday, June 10, was purchased at Matos Sons Food Market – which also operates under the name Talk of the Town – located at 271 Hempstead Turnpike, according to lottery officials.
Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
