Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR), a leading trade association serving real estate professionals in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties, hosted its 36th annual Education Conference and Trade Show on June 12, 2024, at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York. The event attracted over 800 real estate professionals and featured a wide range of educational sessions and demonstrations by national speakers, industry experts, and exhibitors.

LIBOR’s Education Conference and Trade Show is one of the premier events in the Long Island real estate industry. It offers attendees the opportunity to learn about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices and network with fellow professionals. This year, attendees had access to over 10 educational sessions approved for New York State continuing education credits.

The conference theme, “Own Your Future,” featured a full day of sessions covering a multitude of industry topics and trends, including updates on the new National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) rule changes that will take effect on August 17, 2024. Additionally, the trade show showcased the latest products and services from more than 40 vendors.

James Dwiggins served as the keynote speaker, delivering an insightful session on “Opportunities Amidst Challenges: The Future of Real Estate.” He addressed significant challenges and transformations in the industry, including pending lawsuits and potential national settlements, decoupling, and new disclosure requirements. Dwiggins emphasized the critical role of agents and empowered them to communicate their value effectively.

OneKey® MLS, a platinum sponsor, hosted its Info Track program, which included training sessions focused on teaching brokers and agents how to leverage technology and OneKey® MLS services to adapt to impending changes in our industry and drive business growth.

The conference also marked the debut of LIBOR’s partnership with Real Grader, which provides all 30,000 members with an Instacard. This leading digital business card enhances REALTORS®’ brand and credibility by consolidating their online presence, including photos, bios, contact information, reviews, social media links, and videos. REALTORS® can easily share their Instacard via QR Code, SMS, or email.

“LIBOR’s 36th annual Education Conference and Trade Show exemplifies our commitment to providing top-tier programs and resources for our members,” said Kevin Leatherman, LIBOR President. “This event offers unparalleled educational opportunities and insights into the latest industry trends and fosters essential networking connections. We are proud to see such a strong turnout and to support our members in their professional growth and success.”
