SPCA: Brentwood Woman Hit with Multiple Animal Cruelty Charges After Leaving Her Dog Out in a Snowstorm

After a thorough investigation, detectives from the Suffolk County SPCA have charged a Brentwood woman with multiple animal cruelty charges on March 11, 2024.
Roy Gross, Chief of the Suffolk SPCA said that its detectives charged Jessica Zambrana, 30, of Brentwood, with confining Sebastian, a 4 year old male sheepdog, outside in a snowstorm without proper sustenance including necessary food, water or shelter.
Zambrana is scheduled to appear in First District Court, Central Islip, on March 29, 2024.
Sebastian is available for adoption at the Islip Animal Shelter.
Animal cruelty will not be tolerated in Suffolk County. If you witness any incident of animal cruelty or neglect in Suffolk County please contact the Suffolk County SPCA at (631) 382-7722.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
