Suffolk County Police on Tuesday, October 25 arrested a chiropractor at his Ronkonkoma office for sexually abusing a teenage patient during an examination.
Dr. Ronald Bernardini of Lake Chiropractic was examining a 16-year-old female patient for back pain when he forcibly touched her breasts at approximately 6:15 p.m. on October 24. The victim advised her parents of the incident and a report was filed with police

Following an investigation, Fourth Squad detectives arrested Bernardini at his office, located at 201 Portion Road, Ronkonkoma, on October 25 at approximately 7:35 p.m.
Bernardini, 64, of 137 Oakside Drive, Smithtown, was charged with Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 14.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
