Recently, Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) met with Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound Commander Captain Eva Van Camp, Officer in Charge of Aids to Navigation Team Moriches Chief Derek Paulsen, and Prevention Department Head Lieutenant Commander John Buck to discuss the Coast Guard’s infrastructure needs on Long Island, search and rescue operations in Long Island’s waterways and the best way to share navigational safety information with boaters, fishermen and swimmers.
