Last week, the Long Island Nets were busy in the community, providing transportation for dozens of senior citizens to a local polling site, as well as donating school and cleaning supplies to support 400 students at two schools on Long Island.

On Thursday, Oct. 29, the Nets provided bus transportation for two senior citizen buildings in the Town of Hempstead. The transportation, in partnership with Legislator Siela A. Bynoe, helped dozens of seniors get to the polls to cast their ballots during Early Voting. Team mascot, Dale the Eagle, joined the group for the day and distributed Make It Count swag and giveaways to everyone in attendance.

The following day on Friday, Oct. 30, members of the Nets front office staff, along with Dale the Eagle, delivered a donation of school and cleaning supplies to Wheeler Ave. Elementary School and Front Street Elementary School. Long Island Nets staff teamed up with Target for this donation, and personally shopped for the supplies that will be distributed to more than 400 students.
