Suffolk County Police Rescue Kitten from Storm Drain

Suffolk County Police officers rescued a kitten that had fallen into a storm drain in Terryville on Friday, July 10.

Sixth Precinct officers responded to 39 Claymer Street at approximately 6 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a kitten had fallen into a storm drain. The officers notified the Emergency Service Section.

Emergency Service Section Officer Michael Viruet climbed into the drain and rescued the kitten.

The kitten was adopted by a local resident once removed from the drain.
